The Martha Brae River in Trelawny offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the typical island hotspots. With its calm waters and lush surroundings, Martha Brae is a relaxing retreat for the entire family. A short drive from Montego Bay, the Martha Brae River has a rich history dating back to the colonial era. It is said to have been named after a legendary Taino woman who cursed the river, causing it to run backwards.
